Demon Slayer Chapter 31

The battle against the Spider Family takes a tragic turn when Mother uses her remaining controlled Demon Slayers as her final weapons. Tanjiro and Inosuke manage to stop the puppets without killing them, but Mother becomes desperate and kills them herself. Furious and saddened by what happened, the two continue through the forest and soon face a terrifying headless demon controlled by spider threads.

In Demon Slayer Chapter 31, Tanjiro and Inosuke work together to defeat the powerful puppet. As Tanjiro is thrown into the air, he spots Mother waiting nearby and prepares to attack. Instead of fighting back, Mother accepts her fate and hopes for freedom from Rui and the rest of the Spider Family. Seeing that she no longer wants to resist, Tanjiro changes his attack and uses Water Breathing: Fifth Form, Blessed Rain After the Drought, giving her a peaceful death. Before disappearing, Mother warns Tanjiro that one of the Twelve Kizuki is on the mountain.
