Demon Slayer Chapter 25
Tanjiro is barely able to stay on his feet as Kyogai increases the speed of his attacks. The rooms spin faster and the demon’s invisible slashes become even more dangerous. Instead of giving up, Tanjiro notices a strange scent before each attack and realizes that his shallow breathing has helped him move without worsening his injuries. He uses this discovery to predict Kyogai’s attacks and slowly closes the distance.
In Demon Slayer Chapter 25, Tanjiro uses Water Breathing: Ninth Form, Splashing Water Flow, Turbulent to reach Kyogai and finally cuts off his head. Before disappearing, Kyogai asks if Tanjiro truly thought his Blood Demon Art was impressive. Tanjiro says that he did while making it clear that killing innocent people cannot be forgiven. He then collects Kyogai’s blood for Tamayo’s research. Kyogai dies peacefully after realizing that someone finally recognized the value of his drumming and writing. Outside the mansion, however, Tanjiro finds Zenitsu injured while protecting Nezuko’s box from the mysterious boar-masked swordsman.
