Demon Slayer Chapter 9

After surviving the Final Selection, Tanjiro finally makes his way back to Urokodaki’s home. He is exhausted and disappointed that none of the demons he fought could tell him how to turn Nezuko back into a human. But when he reaches the house, he gets an emotional surprise. Nezuko is awake and runs toward him, giving Tanjiro and Urokodaki a moment of happiness after everything they have been through.

In Demon Slayer Chapter 9, Tanjiro receives his first Nichirin sword from the strange swordsmith Hotaru Haganezuka. Everyone waits to see what color the blade will become, and it turns black when Tanjiro draws it for the first time. Before he can make sense of what it means, his Kasugai Crow delivers his first official mission. Several girls have been disappearing from a nearby town, and Tanjiro is sent to investigate the mystery.
