Tanjiro refuses to let Gyutaro overpower him even as the demon’s sickle remains buried in his jaw. He forces his entire body into the attack and keeps pushing his blade against Gyutaro’s neck. Just when it seems impossible, the scar on Tanjiro’s forehead changes and the Demon Slayer Mark appears. The sudden increase in his strength allows him to finally push his sword through Gyutaro’s neck.

In Demon Slayer Chapter 94, Inosuke unexpectedly reveals that he survived Gyutaro’s stabbing attack by shifting his internal organs and uses his flexible swords to help Zenitsu cut through Daki’s neck.
